Individual psychotherapy—sometimes called talk therapy—is a collaborative process between you and your therapist. It offers a safe, confidential setting where you can explore your emotions, beliefs, and behaviors, as well as gain deeper insight into the patterns that may be holding you back.

What to Expect

Your first session is an opportunity to share what brings you to therapy and discuss what you’d like to achieve. From there, we’ll work together to set goals and establish a plan that aligns with your needs. Each session lasts about 50 minutes and can take place in-person at our Illinois office or virtually through secure telehealth sessions—so you can access care wherever you are.

Identify key issues, set personal goals, and develop a tailored treatment plan.

3. Active Therapy Sessions

5. Conclusion/Ongoing Support

Transition from regular sessions to ongoing support or a mindful conclusion.

6. Live Your Life Fully

Apply the insights, skills, and confidence you’ve gained in therapy to be a better you.
